Press process plays an important part in the manufacturing of musical brass instruments. To take an example, there are about 60 types of press tools for making a saxophone. Even the word "press process" is a single phrase, it is a complex combination of various method of construction such as cutting, flattening, forging, trimming, drawing, hydraulic pressure processing, iced binding, and so on. We have digitalized the analogue information to combine with 3 dimensional processing and we aim faithfully at realizing the desired sensitivity. Yamaha Fine Technologies proposes a process, which recovers high productivity of the press processing applying a broad processing technology starting from the clearance of two-micrometer precision processing technology to three-dimensional curved surface processing technology.
