GUIDE TO THE ACADEMY

• Instruments
Woodwinds Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Fagotto, Saxophone
Brass Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tuba

• Qualification
Student any musician who is 15 years old or above
Auditor open to any person who is above 12 years old
  *Students will be drawn from an international pool of applicants.
*Additionally, home-stay accommodations can be available for foreign students.

• Schedule
July 30 - August 03 , 2011

• Number to be admitted
Brass instruments a total of 40 students
2 classes for Trumpet, 1 class for Trombone,
1 class for Horn, 1 class for Tuba.
Woodwinds a total of 64 students
2 classes for Flute, 1 class for Oboe,
2 classes for Clarinet, 1 class for Fagotto,
2 classes for Saxophone.
Auditors a total of 250 auditors

• Tuition fees
Student ¥60,000
Auditor 1 day :¥4,000, 5 days :¥16,000
*Elementary school, high school and junior high school students will be charged ¥2,000/1 day, ¥8,000 /5days.
*Concert admission fee is not included in Student fees and Tuition fees above.

• Deadline for application
Tuesday May 31, 2011 (Student)

• Application
The application form should arrive at the following address with all necessary information (name, age, address, telephone number, school or occupation, music career and a cassette tape, CD, MD of the audition repertoire) Please indicate your name and pieces on your tape and case.
Please be aware that the submitted tape will not be returned.

• Notification
All participants will be notified by return mail of their acceptance into the Academy by the middle of June.

• VISAS
• If necessary, contestants are responsible for obtaining their own visas to enter Japan.
• If necessary, Aacademy and Festival Office will issue an invitaion letter upon request.


• Lessons
• The lessons will be given in two types of forms. One-to-one lesson and group lesson.
• The individual lessons will be given for 40 minutes, and 4 times per student. All lessons will be with piano accompaniment.
• Pieces below will be with piano accompaniment.
• Students will be allowed to audit the lessons of other students. In addition, practice rooms will also be provided.

• Premium Concert
• It will be performed by selected students. One student from each class will be selected for it.
• It will be held on 3rd Aug, Wednesnday.

• Gala Concert
• All faculties will performed on 01 August, Monday.
