Yamaha was among the first to engage in research into metal materials, and has established an enviable reputation in the field of electronic metal materials both in Japan and abroad. Electronic metals are used in a wide range of applications, including high-end IC lead frames and low-expansion materials for cathode-ray tube shadow masks, as well as magnetic materials and springs. Utilizing our know-how in the area of metal material processing and heat-treatment, we are also committed to the development of processed parts, from selection of materials to design and manufacture. Currently, Yamaha processed parts are widely used for contact parts in mobile phones and automotive electrical components.
