When you combine the PJP-50R with a Web conference system, you can hold a high fidelity audio conference while sharing materials with remote locations. By keeping the PJP-50R's audio calls separate from the Web conference session, the audio remains stable and unaffected by the Web conference network or PC. Also, since the audio is maintained even if PC troubles or other factors cause problems on the Web conference line, the conference can continue even if video is lost.

By connecting the PJP-50R to a network white board—in which any notes written on the white board at one location are visible on the white boards at remote locations—parties can convey meaning in even richer detail.

If the PJP is connected to a LAN compatible projector in which a PC screen can be projected simultaneously on multiple projectors, you can easily give presentations in remote locations. By adding the PJP-50R, you can take full advantage of the projector's LAN functionality.

As with video conferencing, you can achieve two-way exchanges of images and audio. It is also possible to give instructions, for example, while viewing images from remote locations.

When you use the PJP-50R with your existing corporate LAN, calls are free of charge. You can easily set up a remote office by opening an always on IP connection on the PJP-50R between locations. For example, with an always on connection between offices in Silicon Valley and Seattle, you could speak to your distant colleagues at any time and expect to hear an immediate answer. Or, imagine programmers in remote development labs talking with one another about joint development projects as if in the same room, having their hands free to type code.
The PJP50R can be used as an extension under IP-PBX by linking with a SIP server (NEC's UNIVERGE SV7000 SIP telephony server).

Linking with an IP-PBX/SIP server
* The PJP-50R is as UNIVERGE certified product.
* Please inquire about SIP-linking with an IP-PBX other than the NEC SV7000.
