An audio conference between remote locations can be started immediately by connecting to an existing corporate LAN and allocating an IP address to Yamaha's IP audio conference system (PJP-50R). No complicated configuration or settings required. Simply by entering the IP address of the party you wish to reach — just like a telephone call — you can immediately experience high-fidelity audio conferencing with ease .
Transmissions by the 7 kHz-bandwidth IP audio conference systems cover almost all frequencies of the human voice (when using G.711 extended code), or approximately two times that of analog phone lines (3.4 kHz). The high fidelity is therefore not only "easy on the talkers" and "easy on the listeners," but also creates incredibly realistic conversations in which speakers are easily identified simply by the sound of their voices.

The PJP-50R supports audio conferences connecting up to eight locations (up to four mesh and eight cascade connections) without an MCU (multipoint connection unit).

The adaptive echo canceller on Yamaha's conference systems "studies" the operating environment and automatically adjusts the echo-filter factor accordingly. And since it performs well in many different acoustic conditions, you can easily hold conferences in whatever space is available. Video conferencing systems tend to require a designated room and complicated setup. But with their integrated microphone speakers, the PJP-50R is portable and easy to set up anytime, anywhere there is a LAN.

When you use the PJP-50R with your existing corporate LAN, calls are free of charge. And because multipoint connections are basic functions, there are no multipoint connection service fees. Also, if you set the PJP-50R for always on IP communication between locations, you can create a "speak-answer anytime" environment at low operating cost.
