Version 2.10 (updated: Mar. 26, 2009)

The NEC Premier IP Communications Server UNIVERGE SV8500 has been added to the SIP server which supports the NEC Mode.
The NEC Mode has been added.
When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, it is now possible to hold and transfer a call. When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, select the NEC mode in "SIP Server Type".

The manual call function has been added.
By setting the manual call function to "Enable", it is now possible to enter an address after pressing the connect key.

The telephone echo suppressor setting has been added.
It is now possible to disable the echo suppressor function which activates in the beginning of a call.

Version 2.09 (updated: Dec. 1, 2008)

The NEC mode has been added.
When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, it is now possible to hold and transfer a call during it.
When using PJP-50R in combination with NEC SV7000, select the NEC mode in “SIP Server Type”.

On-hook dial function has been added.
By setting on-hook dial function to “Enable”, it is now possible to enter an address after pressing the connect key.

Improved function: The quality of reproduced sound has been improved.
The tuning of sounds output from the speakers has been improved.
Added function: Additional country codes are newly available.
“Australia”, “Korea” and “Taiwan” are now available as a country code. Along with this addition, some settings in “Line Mode” and “Hooking Time” have been changed.

  • The G.729a audio codec has been added.
  • The RTP packet delivery interval can now be set from the codec settings.

  • QoS compatibility has been added.
    • The setting of whether or not to use ToS and CoS can now be made from the Web setting page.
  • The symbols # and * can now be used in SIP addresses.
  • The SIP registration validity period and session validity period can now be set from the Web setting page.
  • When the "Restore Settings" command is executed, the settings stored at "Save/Load Config" are now also deleted.
  • When set to use an SIP server, the IP address is now displayed on the display's top screen.
  • The IP address and SIP address (when set to use an SIP server) can now be checked by pressing the <- key at the display's top screen.
  • As a UNIVERGE SV7000 compatible version, functions of Ver. 1.34 of the provided firmware are incorporated to allow association with an SV7000.
 

NOTES
*At the SV7000's "Terminal Classification" setting item, set the ProjectPhone to "TYPE1: Standard SIP Terminal".
*When a ProjectPhone is associated with an SV7000, the ProjectPhone's multi-point connection function cannot be used.
*An SV7000 VS-32 is required for multi-point connection.
*The ProjectPhone's hold and forward functions cannot be used. (It is possible to accept holding and forwarding from other terminals.)
*Calls using the ProjectPhone's IP call function cannot be made between a ProjectPhone that is associated with an SV7000 and one that is not associated.

Added function: SIP Hold/Transfer function
This function sets up a “held side” and “transferred side” to allow the PJP to receive transferred SIP calls (the PJP cannot hold or transfer calls itself).

Specification change: The LCD screen display has been changed.
It is now possible to detect the connection status of not only the LAN cable, but also of the PSTN (telephone line). Consequently, the LCD screen now displays the connection status.

Specification change: The default dial type setting has been changed to “Pb”
The default dial type setting has been changed from “20PPS” to “Pb” Note that your current setting will not be changed when upgrading the firmware.

The default settings for the telephone number, IP extension number (IP number), and address book number have been changed. Note that your current setting will not be changed when upgrading the firmware.

Version 1.30 (updated: July. 18, 2007)

Added function: Effect sounds are now produced upon startup and when settings are changed.
To adjust the echo canceller, an effect sound is now produced upon startup and when the "Speaker Mode", "Mic Mode" and "Room Size" settings are changed.

Added function: A settings saving function has been added. Three settings can now be saved.
This makes it possible to immediately call out the most appropriate settings when the environment changes significantly due to the location of usage, for example.

Added function: A settings function for Japanese and Chinese telephone lines has been added.
It is now possible to select the operation mode when the country code has been set to "Japan".

Interactive voice response (IVR) services can now be operated using push-button dialing (DTMF signals).

Version 1.08 (updated: Jan. 19, 2007)

Improved sound quality: Echo canceller
The processing power of the echo canceller has been increased.
Improved sound quality: Microphone pickup
The sound quality of the microphone pickup has been improved.
In conjunction with measures to improve sound quality, the default setting for the microphone amp has been lowered by -6dB. Please note that the volume level of calls will be lower after the revision upgrade. The volume can be restored to the level prior to the revision upgrade by raising it +6dB with the fine volume adjuster.
Added function: Phone number entry correction
Users can now delete characters in a phone number entry one at a time by using the “▼” key.
The “▼” symbol is now displayed in the number entry screen.
