Soft Projectphone is a dedicated softphone program for the PJP-25UR, PJP-50USB and PJP-100UH conference microphone speakers. Connecting the PJP-25UR or PJP-50USB or PJP-100UH to a PC that has Soft Projectphone installed enables the following functions.

  • Calls between PCs that have Soft Projectphone installed and PCs connected to the PJP-25UR or the PJP-50USB or the PJP-100UH.
  • Calls between PCs that have Soft Projectphone installed and the Yamaha PJP-100H and PJP-50R IP audio conference systems.

7 kHz Wide Band Connection
Soft Projectphone provides the same call quality as the PJP-100H and PJP-50R with their built-in IP communication functions. It provides high quality calls with a wide bandwidth of 7 kHz, or approximately twice that of regular analog phone lines or Web conferencing systems.

Verifying PJP-25UR/PJP-50USB/PJP-100UH Call Quality
When the call quality with the PJP-25UR/PJP-50USB/PJP-100UH is not satisfactory, or when audio problems occur, try using Soft Projectphone. It identifies whether the problem is on the PJP-25UR/PJP-50USB/PJP-100UH side or on the software side.

Functional Limitations
Connecting the PJP-25UR or PJP-50USB or PJP-100UH to a PC that has Soft Projectphone installed enables IP communication that is equivalent to the PJP-100H and PJP-50R. However, two functions will be affected as follows.

  • G.711 and G.726 call quality will be inferior to that of the PJP-100H/PJP-50R.
  • 4-location calls (mesh connection) will require calling each location one at a time.
Two 2-location calls cannot connect as a 4-location call.

Supported ProjectPhone model: PJP-25UR, PJP-50USB and PJP-100UH
