Developed Saddle Type SRT Pickup The SRT pickup is a newly developed saddle-type design consisting of a piezo-electric pickup embedded inside the saddle. Putting the pickup in closer proximity to the string significantly improves response. Furthermore, placing the pickup within the saddle rather than underneath, enables the pickup to obtain a greater amount of information (audio signal). This means that, in addition to a wide, full guitar tone to drive the SRT mic models, the pickup is capable of expressing even subtle picking nuances.
The SRT pickup converts the all of the guitar’s vibrating energy into the sound signal. With the BLEND knob at “0” there is a clear difference between the 100% pickup sound
produced by the SRT system and that of a traditional electric-acoustic guitar. Mixing the pickup sound with the mic sound opens the door to a whole new sonic spectrum of possibilities for acoustic guitar tone.
