15th The HAMAMATSU International Wind Instruments Academy & Festival (Solo Concert)
Yamaha Symphonic Band Compilation of Commissioned Pieces for Ensembles Released on June 17
The 15th Annual Hamamatsu International Wind Instrument Academy and Festival will be held from over the six day period from Wednesday July 30  Tuesday August 4 at venues including ACT City Hamamatsu.
During the festival, the Yamaha Symphonic Band will perform in the “Solo Concert” held in ACT City Hamamatsu’s concert hall on Saturday August 1.

The Yamaha Symphonic Band has completed recording a CD of ensemble pieces, which went on sale throughout Japan on June 17, 2009. Eleven pieces were recorded in total, all works by composers from Asia. It includes arrangements from flute and clarinet ensembles and other octets, as well as pieces performed at ensemble competitions. We encourage you to listen to it!
